About the Journal

Journal of ICT Systems (JICTS) is a refereed open-access journal that disseminates original research on the design, development, implementation, management and evaluation of ICT systems. The journal covers a wide range of topics such as computer science, computer engineering, informatics, electronics, and telecommunications. The research areas covered by the journal include but are not limited to, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, blockchains, circuits and systems, e-governance, E- and M-Learning, embedded and intelligent systems, ICT policies and regulations, image and video processing, industrial and medical tomography, information theories and systems, machine/computer vision, networks and cybersecurity, pattern recognition and analysis, signal processing, software architecture and engineering, virtual reality, and wireless communications.

JICTS publishes research articles, book reviews, and reports from the field from researchers and practitioners, and seeks to engage a broad audience across that spectrum from East Africa and beyond.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of ICT Systems (JICTS) go through blind review by at least two members of the editorial review board or invited reviewers with competence in the area. The review process normally takes approximately two months. The editor then informs contributors of the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript.

Publication Frequency

JICTS is published two times a year (June and December). Submissions are published after a rigorous peer review process.

Article Processing Charges

JICTS does not levy article processing charges or any other submission fees for authors.
