Abstract

This paper deals with a group of tourist guides working at the Twyfelfontein rock art site in north-western Namibia. Within the guide group new ideas on the site and its origin have emerged, and a local discourse in taking shape, a discourse that challenges the established theory on the ethnic origin of the rock art.
