Statement of Malpractice

Ethics and disclosures

Manuscripts submitted to EAJoCS receive intensive analysis against academic misconduct, including plagiarism or non-disclosure of conflict of interest. The journal treats ethical issues seriously and discards manuscripts with such issues. In some situations, published manuscripts may be retracted when found that they contain misleading or falsified information.

The list of academic misconducts includes, but not limited to, the following:

  1. Omission of authors that participated in the research; inclusion of authors that have not directly participated in the research. Authors should learn and understand the meaning of authorship in an article to ensure that the manuscript contains legitimate authors.
  2. Data or results fabrication/falsification/manipulation, multiple or duplicate submissions, plagiarism, or redundant publications.
  3. Expanded versions of the authors’ conference papers with a similarity index greater than 70%, showing excessive overlap of materials.
  4. Omission of critical references related to the research; inclusion of references or source of materials not related to the research.
  5. Filling of false authors identifying information in the submission system.
  6. Non-disclosure of conflicts of interest or funding information.
  7. Lack of ethical clearance certificate, especially for studies that involve human or animal subjects.
